Ethereum to Base

This is the cheap direction. Nothing has to wait, the official bridge is open, and the main variable is what Ethereum gas costs at the moment you send. The table above shows what each provider would deliver on Base right now.

Fee is everything lost between what you send and what you receive. Where the transfer goes through us — the widget on this page — our integrator fee is already inside that number; the other providers are quoted at their own price. Gas on the source network is listed separately. Quotes refresh every 60 seconds while this page is open.

Bridge through LI.FI

The widget executes the transfer through LI.FI. Its quote includes LI.FI's fee and our fee of 0.10%.

Fee history

History is being collected: the chart appears after 7 days of quotes.

Risk: Crypto assets are volatile, and transfers between networks can fail or lose funds. Quotes can change before you confirm. Nothing here is financial advice.

Disclosure: We earn a fee when you bridge through the widget on this site and may earn from exchange referral links. Routes are ordered by the amount you receive, not by what we earn. Full disclaimer

Why this direction is the easy one

Deposits into Base are not held back by anything; the challenge period of seven days applies to standard withdrawals in the other direction (Base documentation). So nobody here is selling you speed. What the providers above compete on is the fee and how efficiently they use the Ethereum transaction, which is the part you cannot avoid.

Gas on Ethereum is the moving part

Every route from Ethereum starts with a transaction on Ethereum, paid in ETH and priced by whatever the network is doing at that moment. The table lists it separately from the fee so that a cheap fee on an expensive transaction does not look like a bargain. This is also why a quote from an hour ago is not worth acting on.

Check which USDC you receive

Circle issues native USDC on Base, and the older bridged USDbC still circulates alongside it (Circle). They are different contracts with different balances. The quotes on this page are for native USDC; if you plan to deposit the result onto an exchange afterwards, check which of the two it credits.

Or skip the bridge

If the funds are on an exchange rather than in a wallet on Ethereum, withdrawing straight to Base avoids the Ethereum transaction altogether. That row is in the table whenever we have current fees for it, including when it is the cheaper path.

Questions

How do I bridge from Ethereum to Base?

Every route starts with a transaction on Ethereum, whether you use Base's own bridge or a third-party provider, so gas matters here as much as the provider's fee. Both columns are compared for the token and amount you choose.

How long does a transfer from Ethereum to Base take?

Deposits into Base are not subject to a challenge period — that applies only to withdrawals back to Ethereum — so the wait is the provider's own. Each publishes its estimate in the Time column.

How much does it cost to bridge to Base?

Two separate numbers: the provider's fee, taken out of the amount you send, and gas for the Ethereum transaction, paid in ETH on top. The table keeps them apart because gas moves with the network, not with the provider.

Which USDC arrives on Base?

Native USDC, the token Circle issues on Base. An older bridged token, USDbC, also circulates there; the two are separate contracts, and exchanges and applications do not treat them as interchangeable.
