The native bridge only goes to Ethereum
Linea’s own bridge connects it with Ethereum, and the two directions are not alike: coming back to Ethereum takes hours rather than minutes and the funds have to be claimed manually on the destination once the wait is over (Linea documentation). Nothing like that applies on the way in, so the differences between the quotes above come from the providers themselves.
Gas is paid in ETH
Linea follows Ethereum’s gas model, and its own documentation explains that a transaction is charged for both the layer 2 execution and the cost of publishing the data to Ethereum — so the amount moves with activity on two networks rather than one (Linea documentation). That is the same reason the quotes on this page carry a timestamp instead of a fixed price.
Fewer sources means a wider spread
On the larger networks several bridges compete for the same route and their prices converge. On a newer network one provider may be the only one that answers for a token, and a single quote is not a comparison — the Quote sources column says how many actually replied. Where a route has fewer than two confirmed sources, we do not present it as a comparison at all.
The exchange route
Exchange support for newer networks lags behind bridge support, so for some tokens there is simply no exchange row here. When there is one, it is the published withdrawal fee with the date we checked it, shown beside the bridges whether or not it wins.
